In the heart of a large estate of 8 hectares, at the boundaries of the Landes and Béarn regions, Les Prés d’Eugénie deploy their poetic and enchanting universe: seven houses are spread over the estate and surrounded by water and rose gardens, vegetable gardens and grassland. Christine and Michel Guérard, inspired by the history and the pastoral beauty of the place, have transformed this property into a romantic haven dedicated to pleasure, wellness and culinary arts.
The landmark of Les Prés d’Eugénie: the Ferme Thermale, installed in a former Landes farm of the 18th century, proposes a true health ritual based on the virtues of water from the thousand years old thermal springs. This thermal spa promises beneficial moments of relaxation regardless of whether you enjoy a cure over several days or a treatment of a few hours.
Another marvel of this exceptional Relais et Châteaux property: the extraordinary skills of Michel Guérard whose gourmet restaurant has been awarded 3 stars in the Michelin Guide for more than 40 years. The chef who “cooks like a bird sings” also proposes his famous Grande Cuisine Minceur for those who want to combine pleasure with slimming.
In the restaurant, in the spa, in the gardens or in the rooms, Les Prés d’Eugénie delight all your senses!

What should I say …! Here, perfection is reached. The hospitality is impeccable, kindness and discretion as well as availability are the magic words to describe the property. The décor is enchanting – you feel at ease or even very much at ease, and the place is in a perfect condition.
Our room, decorated with taste, was simply sumptuous.
We then come to the meal at the gourmet restaurant: the best we have ever had so far. Everything is delicious, prepared with sensitivity and subtlety. The service reflects the standards of the dishes served, ie it’s marvellous.
Breakfast is on the same level as the dinner on the eve, simply amazing.

At the heart of the Les Prés d’Eugénie estate, the Institute Michel Guérard proposes cooking classes and internships throughout the year. This is a perfect opportunity to learn or hone your skills through the initiation to the techniques of the master of Nouvelle Cuisine.
On a promontory overlooking the Adour valley Château de Bachen, a property owned by the Guérard family since 1983, is located. Château de Bachen, was built in 1235 and rebuilt during the 17th century. The estate is at the heart of the Tursan vineyards previously owned by Aliénor of Aquitaine. Planted in 1984, the vines started to produce in 1987, the year of the first wine by Christine and Michel Guérard. Since then the estate has been enlarged and currently stretches over 25 hectares. In 1991, the winery was redesigned by architect Jean de Gastines. Several autochthonous grape varieties are cultivated here: Petit Manseng, Gros Manseng, Baroque, Tannat, but also the two royal varieties of the Bordeaux region: Merlot and Cabernet. Château de Bachen makes two white wines: Baron de Bachen and Château de Bachen but also two red wines: Barocco and Rouge de Bachen and finally a rosé, Rosa la Rose. “The blending that I carry out together with my winemaking friends is always a magical moment. It’s extraordinary to see what one can do,” Michel Guérard.
