Zermatt

Zermatt is a mountain resort renowned for skiing, mountaineering and hiking in the south of the Swiss canton of Valais. The city lies at an altitude of about 1,600 meters, at the foot of the iconic Matterhorn.

Its main street, Bahnhofstrasse, is lined with luxury shops, hotels and restaurants, and offers après-ski entertainment. Public outdoor rinks provide ice skating and curling.
